We are excited to gather together this summer as peers from institutions of higher education and industry across the State of Alabama as we connect, develop, and empower one another for the betterment of our state’s workforce.

Title: Big Partnerships, Big Impact: Aligning Colleges, Employers, and Communities
Description: In this workshop, participants will explore design thinking principles and practice stakeholder mapping techniques to reimagine approaches to career and talent development. By understanding the needs and perspectives of all stakeholders involved, attendees will learn how to develop big partnerships for big impact. This workshop serves as a reminder of the 70/20/10 learning model, emphasizing the importance of experiential learning, social learning, and formal learning in career and talent development initiatives. By fostering creativity and collaboration, participants will brainstorm innovative ways to integrate practical, hands-on experiences into career services and talent acquisition initiatives, ensuring that learning is relevant, engaging, and impactful.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the application of design thinking principles and stakeholder mapping techniques in career development and talent acquisition
- Apply the 70/20/10 learning model to optimize career and talent development initiatives
- Generate creative solutions for integrating work-based learning opportunities
CEUs: This workshop is pre-approved for 2.0 hours of continuing education credit for SHRM, NCDA, and CCE and may also be eligible for continuing education credits for other certifications and credentials. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion with CE information.
