Membership Benefits

AACE is a professional network of employers and career development professionals. In addition to the networking opportunities that come as a result of membership, there are additional benefits that make membership in AACE a “must have” for professionals that are involved in career planning activities as well as employers that are involved in hiring current students and recent graduates.

Benefits of Membership in AACE include:

  • Professional Development: Workshops are scheduled during the winter. These sessions provide professional in-service training experiences. This one-day workshop includes presentations, group discussions, and idea exchanges that promote self-improvement and learning experiences for both college and employer needs. Winter Workshop is usually held the Friday before Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January.
  • Annual Conference: Held each summer, this conference offers a variety of sessions related to professional development in the areas of career development, recruiting and training. In addition, members regularly use relationships built through AACE to develop effective college relations and recruiting programs, to utilize campus facilities for on-campus interviewing, and to participate in Career or Job Fairs and/or classroom presentations.
  • Coffee Chats: The Alabama Association of Colleges and Employers offers virtual Coffee Chats the first Wednesday of each month to provide a place for open dialogue among employer and college members around current topics in today’s graduate recruiting and career services. Topics have included: Online Career Management System Best Practices, Events held on campus/virtually, Employer recommendations for colleges, Community College Best Practices, and more! These chats are only available to paid members but can also be viewed at a later date if a member is unavailable to attend live.
